South Fowl Lake Site 2
About this site
South Fowl Lake Site 2 is one of two remote campsites on South Fowl Lake in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW). Access requires boating from Johnson Lake boat ramp, portaging to Little John Lake, then paddling up the Royal River into South Fowl Lake. A BWCAW permit is required. Each site has a fire grate and latrine. Pack out all garbage. Limit of 9 people per site. Additional Info: South Fowl Lake is a 1,586-acre lake with 18.5 miles of shoreline straddling the US-Canada border. Parking available for 6 vehicles/trailers at Little John Lake.
