Overview Sonora Bridge campground offers opportunity to get away from crowds amidst shade of Jeffrey Pines. Campground is close to fishing on West Walker River. The river is stocked with trout. Nearby picnic area, near Tule Lake, has accessible facilities. Natural Features Sonora Bridge campground is at an elevation of 6300 feet. Additional Info: Sonora Bridge is a 23-site, first-come, first-served campground located in Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest along the West Walker River. The campground is open late April to mid-September. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and grate. Vault toilets and garbage service are provided. The campground does not have potable water. Firewood is available for purchase from the host. Dogs are welcome. Nearby Leavitt Meadows is 4.5 miles west. Outdoor recreation includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and wildlife viewing.
