Overview This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature. If this option is available, you will need to first download the free Recreation.gov mobile app https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service. Additional Info: Sockeye Campground sits at 6,608 feet in Sawtooth National Forest on the shores of Redfish Lake, with 23 single-family campsites (six are double-sites) nestled among mature lodgepole pine forest. Sites include sand pads for tents and paved RV pads, each with a picnic table and fire ring. Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets, a visitor center, and a boat launch at Sandy Beach. Equestrian stables, a dump station, and boat rentals are available at nearby Redfish Lake Lodge. Public showers and laundry are available at 50 Horstman Drive. The campground fills early (4–6:30 AM arrival times are common for walk-ups) and has no cell service. Recreation activities include fishing for trout and wild cutthroat, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, waterskiing, swimming, hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and wildlife viewing.
