Overview This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature. If this option is available, you will need to first download the free Recreation.gov mobile app https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service. Additional Info: Soap Creek Campground provides access to the southern trails of the West Elk Wilderness, including the on-site Coal Mesa Trailhead (trails 451.2, 451, and 452). Horse corrals and bins are adjacent to the campground. 21 campsites available. Open May 23 - Sept. 29. Quiet hours 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. Single site/night: $18/vehicle; second vehicle: $9/night; picnic: $6/vehicle. Interagency Senior/Access Pass: 50% discount on camping. $18 per night per camping unit; $6 per day for day use/picnic use in a campsite; $10 per firewood bundle. Potable water and restrooms available.
