About this site
Snowbank Lake Site 12 is one of three backcountry campsites on Snowbank Lake in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW Entry Point 27). These near-wilderness single-party sites are accessible only by foot via Snowbank Lake Trail or by boat, available first-come, first-served. Each site includes a fire grate, latrine, and possibly a picnic table. A permit is required to enter the BWCAW. Boil or filter water. Nine people per site limit. Pack out garbage. Trails are for non-motorized use only. Additional Info: Snowbank Lake is a 4,650-acre entry point into the BWCAW with 43 miles of shoreline.
