Snake River Campground
About this site
The campground is set inside a cocoon of pine trees that stretch high into the sky, providing ample shade and that backwoods Minnesota setting we all love. Well shaded and spacious at the back, it could host multiple tents. It is, however, mostly dirt/mud and other sites offer much better tenting surfaces. The campground is on the edge of a small pine grove, and most of the sites get good shade from the pines, oaks, and aspens. There are two vault toilets- two aging vault toilets in the first loop, and a new one in the second loop. Water is available by hand pump. There is also a picnic area next to the river. Individual campsites are $17 per night. No reservations are required or available. Equestrian campsites are $22 per night. No reservations are required or available. Group campsites are $50 per night. Call the state forest contact for more information. Additional Info: Tucked among towering mixed pines along the Snake River Water Trail. Vault toilets, garbage cans, and drinking water available. Campsites include cleared area, fire ring, and table. All sites first-come, first-served. Pets allowed. Fires allowed. Pull-through sites available. ATV use not allowed in campground.
