Snag Lake Campground is located five miles north of Bassetts on the Gold Lake Road adjacent to Snag Lake. There are 12 undesignated campsites with space for small trailer use- vault toilets and lake water source, purify before drinking. This area offers an abundance of beautiful high mountain lakes with a variety of accessibility along with scenic rugged geological features of granitic ridges and glacially serrated rock outcroppings. Additional Info: 12 first-come, first-served undesignated campsites accommodating tents and small trailers/RVs. Each site has a table, fire ring, and grill. Amenities include vault toilets. Piped water unavailable; purify lake water for drinking. No cell service. Open mid-May to mid-October. Elevation 6,602 ft.
