About this site
The Bivouac (The Bivy) at Smith Rock State Park is a walk-in tent campground located on a rimrock plateau overlooking the Crooked River and the park's world-famous climbing walls. The campground offers 70 standard campsites available year-round on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations accepted. The campground has no hookups, no dump station. Campfires are not allowed in the Bivy area, though camp stoves are permitted. Each campsite has a picnic table. The campground is popular with rock climbers and hikers accessing the park's extensive trail system. Additional Info: Camping is open early spring through late fall, as weather allows. Pets allowed.
