About this site

Smith Homestead is a day-use facility in the Tillamook State Forest along the Wilson River, managed by the Oregon Department of Forestry. The site features picnic tables, restrooms, a large shelter available for rent, drinking water, and easy river access. A historic homestead established in 1886 by early settlers Walter and Alice Smith, the area includes interpretive signs sharing pioneer history. Open year-round from sunrise to sunset. Activities include swimming, fishing, and hiking via the Wilson River Trail.
