Smith Creek Landing is located in the Apalachicola National Forest, featuring flat terrain with dense forest cover. It offers primitive camping and is used as a hunt camp during general gun season. At the southernmost tip of the forest and directly on the Apalachicola River, it provides the last chance to put in or take out a boat or canoe before heading downriver off the forest. Additional Info: Free primitive campground with picnic tables and ample parking. Very quiet area with no light pollution, ideal for stargazing. Accommodates large RVs.
