Smelt Bay Provincial Park is the only provincial campground on remote Cortes Island. It offers 22 spacious vehicle-accessible campsites in a delightful wooded setting overlooking Smelt Bay. The park features a sand and pebble beach, gravel boat launch, pit toilets, picnic sites, and a communal cook shelter. Overflow camping is available in the parking area. Open spring to early fall; check for advisories. Frontcountry camping rates are $20/party/night (peak) and $11/party/night (winter).
