Sly Creek Campground

Sly Creek Campground is located in Plumas National Forest at 3,530 feet elevation along the shores of Sly Creek Reservoir in the remote eastern corner of Butte County. The campground features 25 first-come, first-served sites nestled in a mixed conifer forest, many with stunning views of the lake. Each site includes a table and fire ring. The campground can accommodate trailers up to 22 feet, though no hookups are provided. Amenities include vault toilets and garbage service. Potable water is not currently available; visitors should bring their own water. A boat ramp provides lake access for motorized boating, waterskiing, and fishing. The Strawberry branch of the reservoir has a 5 mph speed limit. The campground is operated under special use permit by South Feather Water & Power. Maximum stay is 14 consecutive days. Each site allows two vehicles with a $2 fee for additional vehicles. Overflow parking is available. OHV use is prohibited in the campground area. The campground operates seasonally, typically opening around early May and closing in early November. Federal Recreation Passes are honored.
