Slims Camp
About this site
Slim's Camp is a developed USFS campground on the banks of Meadow Creek in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests near Kooskia, Idaho. The site features picnic areas, a vault-style toilet, and three RV/trailer pads. The surrounding mountains are heavily forested, and the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness Area is only a couple miles away. The area is popular for fishing, with trout, steelhead, and salmon available in Meadow Creek. There is no drinking water, electricity, or dump station at the site. Firewood must be gathered. The trailhead to Meadow Creek Cabin (a 15-mile hike or horseback ride) is located about a mile from Slim's Camp.
