Slide Group Campground
About this site
Slide Group Area is a group campground located on the rim of the Sacramento Mountains in Lincoln National Forest, just two miles south of Cloudcroft, NM. The site sits at approximately 9,000 feet elevation with views of the Tularosa Basin and is surrounded by mixed evergreen and aspen trees. It accommodates groups up to 90 visitors and features an open meadow suitable for group activities. The campground backs into the Recreation Rim Trail (T105), offering access to hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding opportunities. Nearby attractions include White Sands National Monument, Oliver Lee Memorial State Park, and the Sunspot Museum. The campground is open mid-May through September 30 and operates by reservation only through Recreation.gov.
