About this site

Slaughter River Recreation Area is a 42-acre BLM-managed boat-in camping site at 2,500 feet elevation along the Missouri River in the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument, Montana. Accessible primarily by boat for fishing, hunting, and tent camping. Features include vault toilets, fire rings, and one three-sided log shelter. Camping is first-come, first-served with a 14-day stay limit. Pets are welcome. Overland access via rugged two-track from 8 Mile Bench Road is restricted and requires BLM permission.
