About this site
Slate Islands Provincial Park is a group of rugged islands in Lake Superior, 12 km south of Terrace Bay, Ontario. The islands are home to woodland caribou, beaver, hare, fox, and various shorebirds. The landscape features a southern boreal forest with some arctic-alpine flora. Remnants of two native settlements and a former timber operation are located on the islands. There are no visitor facilities.
