ACCESS TO SKWELLEPIL CREEK REC SITE IS HIGH CLEARANCE 4X4 ONLY. THREE LARGE WATERBARS HAVE BEEN DUG INTO THE ENTRANCE AS OF SUMMER 2022. Skwellepil Creek campsite has changed status to a wilderness site only. This designation means it is still open to the public but no maintenance services will be provided. Available campsite locations will also be reduced. Sites are first come first serve, no reservation system is in place. Please be respectful and pack it in, pack it out. The access road to this site will also receive minimal maintenance and access will be high clearance 4x4 only. Additional Info: The site is located approximately 31 km up the Chehalis Forest Service Road north of Harrison Mills, BC, on the shores of Chehalis Lake. Multiple open campsites are available along the waterfront. Two outhouses are maintained at the site. A boat launch is available. The final 2 km of the access road is rough and bumpy; cross ditches and elephant humps are installed to prevent low-clearance vehicles from entering.
