Skagware Reservoir Dispersed Camping is a remote, primitive dispersed camping area near Skaguay Reservoir in Teller County, Colorado. It offers rustic tent and RV camping on a first-come, first-served basis with no designated sites, reservations, picnic tables, or restroom facilities. Campers must pack in all supplies, including portable toilets and trash bags, and follow Leave No Trace principles. Pets and campfires are allowed. A valid Colorado hunting/fishing license or SWA pass is required for access to the surrounding State Wildlife Area. The area is popular for fishing, hiking, and boating (wakeless). Best visited June to September; bring insect repellent due to mosquitoes and practice fire safety. Additional Info: Access by vehicle to dispersed spots. No fees for camping itself. Restrooms and boat ramp available at the reservoir parking area.
