Sinlahekin Wildlife Area
About this site
A 14,000-acre Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife managed area located in the Sinlahekin Valley, approximately 2.5 miles south of Loomis. The preserve straddles the Sinlahekin Creek and Coulee Creek watersheds and features diverse habitats including shrub steppe, wetlands, and ponderosa pine forest. Visitors can explore eight miles of trails, fish in lakes and ponds, and observe wildlife including mule deer, waterfowl, grouse, and eagles. A campground and hitching rail for horses are available at Fish Lake. The area is popular for hunting, fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing.
