About this site
Large gravel tent pads, picnic tables, mostly in shaded orchard, vault toilet, kiosk, food lockers. No potable water. Hammock opportunities but may not use fruit trees, oaks or arbutus trees. Limit 5 persons per site, 2 tents/site. Additional Info: Shingle Bay Campground is a backcountry campground with 10 primitive campsites accessible by water or via a steep 0.24 km walk-in trail from the parking area. Located on a gravel beach in an old apple orchard with views of Captain Passage. Pit toilets available. Reservations recommended and can be made through Parks Canada. Operating season May 15 – September 30; accessible year-round but not regularly maintained October 1 – May 14. Permanent fire ban in effect.
