Shields River Dispersed Site is a primitive, no-fee, first-come first-served campground with 6 campsites along the Shields River in the West Crazy Mountains of Custer Gallatin National Forest. Maximum vehicle length is 22 feet. Vault toilets are available but there is no potable water, trash pickup, or firewood; pack-in pack-out required. Open approximately June 16 to December 1, weather permitting; call for road conditions when wet.
