Shields River Dispersed Site

Shields River Dispersed Site is a primitive campground in the West Crazy Mountains on the Yellowstone District of Custer Gallatin National Forest. It offers 6 first-come, first-served campsites with no fees. Vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water, trash pickup, or firewood. Maximum vehicle length is 22 feet. Open June 16 to December 1; call for road conditions when wet. Located along the Shields River with opportunities for fishing and hiking. Additional Info: Pack-in, pack-out required. Pets allowed but check policy. No reservations.
