Shields River Campground
About this site
Primitive campground with 6 first-come, first-served sites at no charge in the Shields River drainage of the West Crazy Mountains, Gallatin National Forest. Vault toilets provided. No potable water or trash services (pack-in, pack-out). Excellent fishing in the Shields River. Road may be challenging when wet; call ranger district for conditions. Typically open Memorial Day to early September depending on weather. Additional Info: Max vehicle length 22 feet with horse trailer turn-around. No reservations. ATV use prohibited January through April.
