Sheep Lake is a picturesque alpine lake with established campsites around the perimeter, ideal for backpacking and base camping. The hike in is 1.8 miles with 400 feet elevation gain from the Chinook Pass trailhead on the Pacific Crest Trail. No permits required for camping at Sheep Lake (outside core National Park boundary), first-come first-served. Vault toilets available at trailhead parking area.
