Developed campground with amenities, picnic tables, fire rings, grills Fee info: Overnight Use: Single Site: $15 per night Single Site with electric hook-up: $20 per night Single Site with electric and sewer hook-ups: $25 per night Double Site with electric hook-up: $40 per night Additional Info: Shady Lake Recreation Area is a 25-acre lake in Ouachita National Forest, Polk County, Arkansas, constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1937. The recreation area features four camp loops with 54 total campsites. Facilities include bathhouses with warm-water showers and flush toilets, a CCC-built pavilion overlooking the lake, swimming area, fishing pier, and amphitheater. Campsites range from basic amenities to full service with water, electric (20/30/50 amp), and sewage connections. The area is open April 15 through November 30. Currently 17 campsites are available for reservations; remaining campsites operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Day use activities and recreational opportunities include hiking, mountain biking, non-motorized boating, and fishing.
