Schumaker Campground
About this site
Schumaker Campground sits on the edge of Twin Lakes near the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness. It features one host site, 16 campsites, two vault toilets and two handicap accessible sites. It is located near the Twin Lakes Trailhead. There are no motorized boats allowed on Twin Lakes. The road is narrow, rough, and fairly steep in some places. Please call the Darby Ranger Station for more information about road conditions. Maximum vehicle length55. Additional Info: All sites are first come, first served. No fees required. Open year-round until closed by snow. Camping limited to 16 consecutive days. Quiet hours 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. No garbage service; pack in/pack out. Pets must be leashed. Restrooms (vault toilets) available. Motorized boats prohibited on Twin Lakes. Road FS429 closed to wheeled vehicles Dec 1 to June 16.
