School Section Lake Veteran's Park is a county-operated campground located on 86 acres in Mecosta, Michigan. The park offers 205 campsites and five cabins, plus two modern cabins with upgraded offerings. Amenities include three modern toilet buildings with showers and flush toilets, a large sandy swimming beach, picnic shelters for rental, fishing, Frisbee golf, playground, and five acres of marked trails through wooded terrain. The park features a historic fieldstone concessions building and an original one-room schoolhouse that offers educational summer programs. A Family Group Camp in a secluded section accommodates larger groups. The park is open seasonally from May through October and is known as the most family-oriented park in the Mecosta County system, hosting seasonal programs, special events, arts and crafts, and sporting opportunities.
