Free BLM-managed small vehicle campground in the Scab Creek Recreation Area, located at 8,200 feet in the foothills of the Wind River Mountains near Pinedale, Wyoming. The campground provides 12 sites including one group site, with vault toilets and potable water available. Sites feature fire pits and picnic tables. Scab Lake trailhead is located at the entrance; Scab Creek trailhead is nearby. No pack stock allowed. Open May 1 to November 15, first-come, first-served, no fee. 14-day stay limit. Surrounded by lodgepole pine forest with access to Scab Creek Wilderness Study Area and Bridger-Teton National Forest trail system.
