Saysutshun (Newcastle Island Marine) Provincial Park offers 18 walk-in tent campsites and 5 group campsites in a quiet forested area near the docks. Accessible by boat, foot passenger ferry from Nanaimo, kayak, or canoe only, with no vehicle access to sites. Amenities include flush and pit toilets, hot showers, potable water, food lockers, picnic tables, playground, and day-use areas. Pets allowed on leash but not in beach areas or buildings. Reservations recommended via BC Parks; first-come first-served otherwise. Group sites have picnic shelters, fire rings, and barbecues. Additional Info: 18 individual campsites at $18/party/night. Group sites: $50-$80 base plus per-person fees. Open May-October for family/group camping; winter camping available first-come first-served at reduced rate.
