Sawyer Bay Site 1
About this site
Sawyer Bay Site 1 is one of three backcountry campsites in the Sawyer Bay Zone of Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. It features a designated metal firepit, access to privies (Thunderboxes), and shared bear-proof stainless-steel food storage lockers. The site is marked with a blue-diamond tent symbol and has a maximum capacity of 9 people. Backcountry camping permits are required, tied to zones on specific dates, with first-come, first-served site selection within the zone. Additional Info: Access via Sawyer Bay Trail, a difficult 12 km round-trip hike from Kabeyun Trail parking lot.
