Savage Falls Campground
About this site
Hike-in backpacking campground within Savage Gulf State Natural Area at Savage Gulf State Park. Requires a reservation with a nominal fee (discounted for Tennessee residents). Located near scenic waterfalls with less than two miles of hiking to reach secluded campsites. Primitive camping experience with no drinking water or electric hookups; visitors must bring their own supplies. Well-marked trails with white blazes on main routes and blue blazes on side trails. Eight campsites available with a shared pit toilet, plus a rustic cabin (Hobbs Cabin) for overnight stays. Offers access to 60 miles of hiking trails through sandstone cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and deciduous forests on the Cumberland Plateau.
