About this site

Santa Rosa Yellow Post Site #1 is one of 14 remote, first-come first-served campsites scattered across the high ridges of Santa Rosa Mountain in San Bernardino National Forest, ideal for tent and car camping. Each site offers a fire ring and picnic table but lacks developed amenities. Water is available only at Sites 3 & 4; restrooms are near Sites 10-14. No trash service; pack in, pack out. Access via Forest Road 7S02 (Santa Rosa Truck Trail), which requires high-clearance or 4WD vehicles. Maximum 8 persons and 2 vehicles per site; 14-day limit. Additional Info: Free camping with no reservations or permits required beyond a California Campfire Permit for fires. Dogs must be leashed. Sites suited for cars, vans, pickup trucks; small trailers possible but longer ones not recommended due to steep inclines and hairpin turns.
