Sandy Beach County Park is a 129 acre park that offers 200 modern and semi-modern campsites with clean restrooms and hot showers, one half mile north of Hardy Dam on shore of 4,000 acre Hardy Pond. With 18 miles of open waterway and miles of undeveloped shoreline, the areas “Up North” look and feel make it hard to believe Grand Rapids is only 45 minutes away. This park also features day-use, swimming beach, dock rental, playground, group campground, and sanitation station. Additional Info: Offers 176 campsites (26 full hookup), 11 camping cabins, three-lane boat launch, pavilion, picnic areas. Operates May 1 - October 11. Newaygo County Parks Motor Vehicle Permit required.
