San Rafael Reef
About this site
San Rafael Reef is a BLM-managed dispersed camping area located in central Utah within the San Rafael Swell Recreation Area. The area features rugged terrain with distinctive rock formations and open desert landscapes. Dispersed camping is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis with no amenities. Campers must bring their own water and supplies and pack out all trash. Stays are limited to 14 days per site. The area is accessible by vehicle and serves as a base for exploring scenic slot canyons and hiking trails including Little Wild Horse Canyon.
