San Lorenzo Canyon is a primitive recreation area jointly managed by the Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, offering hiking and dispersed primitive camping amid sandstone cliffs, arches, and hoodoos. There are no designated official campsites, bathrooms, water, electricity, or other amenities. Access is via dirt roads following arroyos from I-25 exit 163; standard vehicles possible in dry conditions, 4x4 recommended after rain.
