San Clemente State Beach Campground
About this site
San Clemente State Beach Campground offers ocean-front camping on landscaped blufftops overlooking a mile-long beach midway between Los Angeles and San Diego. The campground provides a mix of RV sites with full hookups (water, sewer, electric) and tent sites, accommodating RVs and trailers up to 30 feet. The park features 160 tent campsites and 72 RV sites with full hookups. Amenities include restrooms with showers, a dump station, drinking water, picnic areas, and a visitor center housed in a historic 1934 Spanish Colonial cottage. Steep paved trails lead down to the beach, which is popular for surfing, body surfing, swimming, snorkeling, and surf fishing. The 2.3-mile Beach Trail connects to nearby beaches and is popular for walking and biking. Group campsites are also available. Dogs are allowed in the campground on leash but not on the beach or trails except service animals.
