About this site
Overview This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature. If this option is available, you will need to first download the free Recreation.gov mobile app https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service. Additional Info: This 14-site campground is located in a lush, old growth forest along Salmon Creek in Willamette National Forest at 1,558 feet elevation. The rocky gorge-like area creates two small waterfalls and several deep pools with clear blue-green waters. Springtime brings wildflowers; wild thimbleberries and hazelnuts are abundant in summer. Swimming is available. Vault toilets are provided. The campground operates May through September with check-in at 2:00 p.m. and check-out at 12:00 p.m. Single site capacity is 6 persons, 2 vehicles, and 2 tents. Camping is limited to 14 days in a 60-day period. Senior and Access Pass holders receive 50% discount on site fees.
