Sahale Glacier Camp is the highest established backcountry campsite in North Cascades National Park at 7600 ft elevation. It offers panoramic views of alpine peaks and glaciers, with tent sites on scree or snow protected by rock outlines. Accessed via a strenuous 12-mile roundtrip hike from Cascade Pass Trailhead with 4000 ft elevation gain. A backcountry permit is required for overnight stays; bear canister recommended. Features a notable backcountry toilet. Best season is July to October after snowmelt, subject to Cascade River Road conditions.
