Ruby Reservoir Recreation Site
About this site
Located on the eastern shore of Ruby Reservoir, this recreation site provides access to fishing, boating, and camping. The reservoir was developed to supply irrigation water for agriculture and is subject to large fluctuations in water levels. Garnets can be collected along the shoreline. Additional Info: This BLM‑managed recreation area offers primitive camping with basic facilities. There are several designated sites suitable for tents and RVs, each equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. A double vault toilet is available, but there are no RV hookups, showers, or dump station. The site is open year‑round with a 14‑day stay limit and is accessed via a drive‑in road from Montana Highway 287 near Alder.
