Roza Recreation Site sits along the Yakima River in central Washington's basalt canyon, half a mile above Roza Dam. This BLM-managed site functions primarily as a river takeout for floaters and offers basic amenities: vault toilets, fire rings, picnic tables, and a boat ramp. It's open year-round, though summer weekends draw the heaviest use. Roza provides developed overnight campsites and day-use areas administered by the BLM; reservations are accepted and campsites are managed with a checkout time of 11am. Hookups and potable water are not provided at the site. Additional Info: - Fees: $15 per night overnight, $5 per day day-use. - Reservations accepted May 1 - Sept 15 via Recreation.gov; first-come first-served otherwise via self-serve fee station. - Maximum stay: 7 days. - Campsites limited to 10 people and 2 vehicles; extra vehicle $10/night. - Fires only in BLM-approved metal fire rings. - 2 accessible vault toilets, accessible picnic tables, boat ramp, 120 paved parking spaces.
