Additional Info: Roys Peak Vista (RP-1) is a primitive roadside campsite located 9.3 miles from the northern end of Old Ore Road in Big Bend National Park. It accommodates up to 2 vehicles and 6 people, no horses or trailers. Access requires high clearance 4x4 vehicle on rough rocky road. No shade, toilets, water, or other amenities provided. Generators prohibited. Backcountry permit required, available up to 24 hours in advance at Panther Junction or Chisos Basin Visitor Centers. Offers views of Deadhorse Mountains.
