Round Island Camping Area is located on Round Island Wilderness in Hiawatha National Forest, off the coast of Mackinac Island in Lake Huron, Michigan. This 1,150-acre federally designated wilderness area is accessible only by private boat or tour. All of the island is designated wilderness except one acre at the northern tip with a lighthouse. Dispersed primitive camping is allowed per USFS rules, with no facilities. Additional Info: Part of Hiawatha National Forest; check with ranger district for conditions and regulations.
