Rodger's River Chickee
About this site
Double chickee platform campsite in Everglades National Park backcountry. Located in a small protected cove with mangrove surroundings. Accessible by boat only via the 99-mile wilderness waterway. Elevated 10' x 12' wooden platform with roof and walkway leading to self-contained portable privy. Wilderness permits required; reservations available through Recreation.gov up to three months in advance. $21 administrative fee plus $2 per person per night. Maximum 30 days per calendar year, 14 consecutive days November 1–April 30.
