Rock Creek Hollow

Rock Creek Hollow is a historic campsite located west of Rocky Ridge along the Oregon-Mormon-California Trail in Fremont County, Wyoming. It is best known as the site where the James Willie Handcart Company sheltered during a severe snowstorm in October 1856 after crossing Rocky Ridge. The site features monuments and memorials honoring the handcart pioneers. Grounds are always open when roads are passable. During summer months, missionaries may greet visitors and share stories related to the handcart company's journey. Additional Info: Located about 7 miles southeast of Atlantic City via Riverview Cutoff to Lewiston Road.
