Rock Creek Group Campground
About this site
Rock Creek Group Campground is located next to Rock Creek in the Rock Creek Drainage at an elevation of 7200 feet on the southern slope of the Uinta Mountains. This shaded group camping area is set back off the main road for privacy, with dense stands of aspen and pine trees providing cover, while sagebrush and wildflowers dot the landscape. The campground accommodates up to 75 people in a single group site and features picnic tables, campfire rings, and grills. Rock Creek offers fishing for brown, brook, and rainbow trout. Whitewater rafting and kayaking opportunities are available seasonally. Vault toilets are provided, but there is no running water or drinking water; campers must bring their own supply. Nearby attractions include Upper Stillwater Reservoir, Lower Stillwater Ponds, and the Rock Creek Trail leading to High Uintas Wilderness.
