Riverside Campground is situated in flat terrain near the scenic Pungo River, approximately 12 miles east of Belhaven. The campground offers a variety of accommodations including tent sites, RV sites, standard sites, group sites, and tent cabins. Amenities include electric and water hookups, sewer hookups, pull-through sites, 50 amp hookups, showers, toilets, firewood, and a newly remodeled boat ramp. The area is convenient to the Swan Quarter Ferry Terminal (21 miles), providing access to Ocracoke Island, and the Outer Banks are 90 miles away. Nearby attractions include Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge and the historic town of Bath. The region experiences temperatures ranging from the 30s in winter to the 80s in summer.
