Rising Sun Campground is located just west of St. Mary and halfway along St. Mary Lake in Glacier National Park. Campers enjoy beautiful sunrises with Red Eagle Mountain as a backdrop and convenient access to day hikes east of Logan Pass. Sites include open areas for breezes and treed sites for shade and privacy. Amenities include potable water, flush toilets, and communal bear-proof food storage lockers. Adjacent facilities offer a camp store, restaurant, and token-operated showers. The campground has 83 sites, with 10 accommodating RVs up to 25 feet. It operates first-come, first-served with a nightly fee, typically open early June to early September. Additional Info: 83-84 sites. Fee showers available at nearby Rising Sun Motor Inn. Limit stay to 7 days. Special food storage and generator regulations apply.
