Rio Frio is a nice loop in Garner with easy access to more niche and private spots on the Frio River. The river is crystal clear, spring-fed, and cool year-round. The campsites are somewhat close together, but the booking website has good photos of each site so you can pick one with good shade—just book a few months in advance! Check out Old Baldy for a short but steep hike with a nice overlook
