Close to the boat ramp and right on the water, campsites at Reservoir C are quiet, scenic and partly shady.A recommended spot for Amateur Astronomers. Light polution is non-existant. Additional Info: Reservoir C Campground is a primitive lakeside camping destination in the Devil's Garden Ranger District of Modoc National Forest. This free campground provides vault toilets but no potable water, so campers must bring their own. There is no garbage service; pack-it-in, pack-it-out practices are required. Sites are available first-come, first-served with a 14-day camping limit. The campground accommodates both motorized and non-motorized boating, and the reservoir offers fishing opportunities. Facilities typically open mid-May through late October weather permitting. Roads are usually closed by snow from November through May.
