Looking for seclusion? Redbank Springs Campground is located off the beaten path and offers limited sites for those wanting to be surrounded by the sounds of nature. Situated west of Deerfield Lake along Road #294, this campground only has four sites. This lesser-known location is rustic and is tucked away in a beautiful spot in the Black Hills. Sites are available first-come, first serve.Note: The toilets at Redbanks Springs Campground are old and are no longer in working order. They will be unavailable for use this summer (2022) and are planned for removal in the future.Campers at this location are advised that toilet and garbage services will not be available in 2022. Campers will need to follow pack it in and pack it out procedures. Forest officials ask that campers be respectful of the campground, surrounding area, and leave it in good condition for the next user(s). If conditions create unsafe or unsanitary situations, the campground will be closed.Redbank Springs Campground LayoutReservations are not available for Redbank Springs Campground. Sites are available first come, first served. See the layout of the area to find your perfect camping site.Download Additional Info: As of 2025, the campground remains open for visitors with self-contained toilets (RVs with onboard units or portable above-ground toilets). Restrooms and potable water are not available. The campground is located at 6,680 feet elevation in Black Hills National Forest with four primitive sites. No reservations are available; sites are first-come, first-served. Hell Canyon Ranger District can be reached at (605) 673-9200 for operational needs.
